Ndzalama Nature Reserve and Lodge
± 10,500ha NDZALAMA NATURE RESERVE AND LODGE + Additional 8,300ha
Situated in the Valley of the Olifants, Kruger National Park (±55 km outside Tzaneen and ±80 km outside Phalaborwa), the lodge sits atop a most remarkable craggy rock outcrop, from where it watches over friend and foe – always alert, always aware – protecting the stress free, unpolluted environment. It is here where guests begin and end their African bush experience.
Approximately 16 guests can be accommodated in luxury lodge rooms at Ndzalama. Each room is equipped with a microwave oven, fridge, kettle and coffee making facilities. The rooms are large and airy with king size beds draped with mosquito nets, deep wingback chairs, a bathroom with basin and bath, an outdoor shower and separate toilet. Guests can enjoy views of the landscape from private verandas, each with its own braai, or make use of the facilities at the communal lounge, dining and bar area.
The kitchen and cold room facilities at the lounge, dining and bar area is available for groups of guests who like to entertain themselves. The option to request prepared meals is also available. The lovely braai gets transformed at night when the light of lanterns and torch cast its glow over the majestic rocks that guard over the lodge.
A 4-sleeper self-catering chalet is the perfect family unit.
Ndzalama offers guided game viewing routes and hikes which will take you through ravines, over hills and past rocky outcrops, affording you precious time in the company of organic, unspoilt Bushveld.
Apart from elephant, buffalo and leopard, Ndzalama is home to most antelope species found in the Bushveld, some 250 different bird species including most birds of prey. The landscape is dotted with intriguing rock formations, beautiful trees and shrubs and plenty of dams and rivers. This is truly Africa living at its’ own pace and by its’ own rules.
